UPDATES:
• August 2010: The caliber Latina/o Writers Today literary blog mentioned my participation in the successful Los Angeles event: “ ‘An Evening of Literature and the Arts’ held at the Pan American Bank on August 7th where the increasing depth and breadth of Latina/o literary talent in America today was on display…The event was co-sponsored by a vaunted group called Latino Literacy Now, among many other supporters. … The onstage ceremony was filmed and broadcast by the LatinoGraduate.net Global Broadcasting.”

On Saturday October 2nd 2010, I’ll be participating as an Author Presenter at the much celebrated Duarte Festival of Authors. The public is invited to the beautiful grounds of historic Westminster Gardens, just 8 minutes east of Pasadena from 10am to 5pm. Address: Westminster Gardens, 1420 Santo Domingo, Duarte, CA.

The Festival is highly publicized as Vroman’s Bookstore, the leading independent bookstore in the nation, will again partner with The Friends of the Duarte Library.
Come out for a wonderful literary experience, as well as delicious fall treats, panel discussions, and book signings from revered literary guests (like me!) displaying their latest works.

Please check the Duarte Festival of Authors Website for more information.

Hope to see you all there!

On Saturday October 9th and Sunday October 10th, I’ll also participate as an Author Presenter & Panelist while selling signed copies of my book at the greatly anticipated and commended Los Angeles Latino Book & Family Festival, which takes place at Greenlee Plaza on the Cal State LA campus.

Don’t miss this festival, which will feature over 115 Latino authors, making it the largest gathering of Latino authors in history! Come celebrate the cultural and linguistic treasures of our Latino communities.

Authors include Victor Villaseñor, Sonia Nazario, Juan Felipe Herrera, Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez, Josefina Lopez, Stella Pope Duarte, Reyna Grande, Sam Quiñones, Gustavo Arellano, Alex Espinoza, Luis J. Rodriguez, Rene Colato Lainez, Amada Irma Perez, Jose Luis Orozco, Vanessa Libertad Garcia, and Michele Serros, among many others.

There will be 36 panels/sessions on poetry, fiction, journalism, publishing, art, music, and dance, followed by a book signing.

The festival and panels are free to the public!

I will speak on 2 panels Sunday October 10th, 2010:
